  beef steak    cherry tomatoes   cucumber   shallot   fresh red chili (optional)   soy sauce   lime   fish sauce   palm sugar (or brown sugar)   cilantro and mint.


Classic Thai Beef Salad


Season beef steak

Season your beef steak with soy sauce and pepper. Let it sit for 15 minutes in room temperature..


Grill your steak

Grill your steak over a very hot grill to get the grill marks. Cook to your desired done-ness.


Slice your steak

Let the beef steak rest for  5 minutes, then slice the beef thinly across the grain.


Make salad dressing

Mix together the fish sauce, sugar, lime juice and chili in a small mixing bowl.


Combine salads

In a large mixing bowl, combine cucumber, tomatoes, shallot, and herbs (mint & cilantro).


Toss with  salad dressing

Add beef. Drizzle about 3 tbsp of dressing and toss the salad together. Taste and add more dressing if needed.

Enjoy your masterpiece.
